Me at the Smithsonian

Nikki Lewis, mother and coach Fayth Goodrich Lewis and MVP Angel Lewis at NABI.
I detailed my experience in a blog post, but I wanted to highlight this experience because it was something that happened to me after I re-made myself into a photographer. My photo of a Native and black family celebrating a basketball victory appears in “Indivisible,” which is about the intersection of Native and African Americans. It initially appeared at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., where I saw it with my (proud) parents and my wife, Florangela. The exhibit will continue to tour the country into 2014.
