I know some think we were premature with criticism, and some even have misinterpreted our posts as saying the P-I should have built a new platform. As for the first, you cannot debut an incomplete product. People won't buy, and they won't believe you the next time. GM doesn't get to introduce a new car, without wheels, brakes and a radio, and tell consumers those things are coming soon. As for the second, I can't imagine that anyone expected a new platform, though that is not as out of the question as some believe. The point is, Hearst management had time to plan for more content. The bells and whistles can come later.
